Mediterranean Aerial Photos by Tom Hegen

Visually beautiful aerial captures from the “The Mediterranean Series” by the Munich based Photographer and Designer Tom Hegen. “The Mediterranean sea is the largest enclosed sea in the world with 46,000 km of coastline. Its coastline includes 24 countries from Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. It is not only known for natural beauty but being blessed with a mild and temperate climate, it is also one of the world’s most populated and most developed areas. Every year over 220 million people spend their holiday along the coast. However, it is also one of the least protected regions in the world. The Mediterranean Series explores life, texture, and hues along the shoreline of the Mediterranean Sea.” There’s much more amazing shots to see if you follow Tom at Instagram. A Kickstarter Campaign for my his first aerial book online is also available at goo.gl/C8zP7h.

I focus on aerial photography projects that show the impact of human presence on earth. As a photographer, I am interested in the relationship between man and nature. In my aerial photography, I focus on landscapes that have been heavily transformed by human intervention. I am trying to sensitize the viewer for those subjects by taking a look at the extraordinary forces impacting our environment.
